Louisa-Kipervas

Mrs. Kipervas’s teaching experience began at Maimonides Hospital between the years of 1996 and 2003.  While employed at the hospital as an ultrasound technologist, she was responsible for training students who were completing their externships. The students were educated in protocols, proper scanning techniques, bedside manner, HIPPA compliance, and all other daily functions of an ultrasound sonographer.  Mrs. Kipervas also advised the resident Radiologists on protocols, reading methods, and expectations.  Her experience with teaching continued at PhilaMed Career Center, where she was an Anatomy and Physiology instructor and taught General Ultrasound Studies between 2005 and 2006.  In 2009, she opened Tri-State Imaging Solutions, her own mobile ultrasound company.  The following year Tri-State Health Foundation, a nonprofit 501(C)3 organization, was established. The purpose of Tri-State Health Foundation is to provide prevention education and mobile screenings to the disadvantaged. In 2015, Mrs. Kipervas realized the need for a local Diagnostic Medical Sonography school to properly train technologists to become as well-regarded as those which she employs, so she founded Allied Health Academy and serves as its Chief Operating Officer.
